The decline of the third division football club Viktoria Berlin, which was recently badly hit by the corona virus, continues.
The promoted team was again uncompetitive on matchday 27 and lost 2-0 (0-2) at Wehen Wiesbaden on Saturday, after the team only lost 6-0 to Eintracht Braunschweig on Wednesday.
Gustaf Nilsson (22nd minute) and Lucas Brumme (29th) scored for the hosts in front of almost 1169 spectators. The Berliners hardly ever came dangerously in front of the opponent’s goal. Viktoria is 16th in the league, just before a relegation zone.
Coach Benedetto Muzzicato made some tactical changes to his team and brought four new players into the starting XI: Mladen Cvjetinovic, Pasqual Verkamp, Christopher Theisen and winter newcomer Cebrails Makreckis. Before the game, the coach wished for courage, initiative and intensity from his team.

However, only Wiesbaden were dangerous in the first half. They steadily increased the pressure and took a 1-0 lead. Goppel’s deflected cross was headed into the far post by Nilsson of Sweden (22′). For seven minutes, the strong Goppel played the ball with his heel to Brumme, who completed it to make it 2-0.
Although Viktoria changed the system again during the break, Wiesbaden continued to control the action and missed a few chances. In the 52nd minute, Viktoria’s captain Björn Jopek had to be replaced injured. Keeper Julian Krahl kept the Berliners from falling behind again and again.
