According to consistent media reports, Real Madrid are keen on Michael Olise. FC Bayern classifies the French World Cup driver as unsaleable and is apparently thinking back twelve years in this context.
As the Spanish “Marca” writes, FC Bayern has “not forgotten” its “mistake” with Toni Kroos in the summer of 2014. The Munich team sold the midfield strategist to Real Madrid a year before the end of his contract for a rumored transfer fee of around 25 million euros.
The world champion developed into one of the most influential figures of the recent past for the Royals. Kroos played 465 competitive games for the Spaniards. The now 36-year-old won the Champions League five times with Real before ending his career in 2024.
Real Madrid wants Olise, FC Bayern is staying tough
Now, according to reports, Real Madrid wants to knock on FC Bayern’s door again. The re-elected club president Florentino Pérez is said to be a big fan of Olise. But the Bundesliga club is not thinking about selling the right winger.
“Michael Olise is a player from FC Bayern Munich who still has a long contract – and we are not a seller’s club. If Florentino Pérez wants to send us an offer – which hasn’t been the case so far – he can save himself that,” club president Herbert Hainer told “Bild” Klartext on Sunday.
Pérez wants to invest 150 million euros in a new superstar. “Florentino is convinced that Olise could be really, really important for the system that José Mourinho wants to play at Real Madrid. And he believes that additional quality in attack can help to develop Mbappé and Vinicius Jr.. His feeling is that Real would have the best attack in the world,” said transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently on YouTube.
But FC Bayern has the upper hand: Olise has a contract at Säbener Straße until 2029. There is no exit clause.
