Four organizations have put themselves forward to organize the Bruges Christmas market in the coming years. In addition to the Bruges Trade Center, which organized the Christmas market in recent years, there are three other candidates. It is now up to the city of Bruges to make a choice.
The new market survey came after the Domestic Administration Agency previously ruled that the city could not simply assign the organization to the Bruges Trade Center for ten years. That decision was overturned because other possible organizers were not given an equal opportunity. The city council then launched an open call.
