Before the last jump of the tour, the ski jumpers got down to business qualifying. But the DSV Eagles couldn’t put an exclamation mark.

Tour dominator Domen Prevc also won the qualification in Bischofshofen. The Slovenian won ahead of the Austrian Stephan Embacher and Jan Hörl. The best German was Philipp Raimund in sixth place. Tour hopeful Felix Hoffmann came eleventh.

Andreas Wellinger (23), Pius Paschke (25) and Karl Geiger (44) also secured a place in the jumping tomorrow, Tuesday.

For Hoffmann the jumping was rather disappointing. With its 128.5 meters it fell short of expectations. The result of the qualification has no impact on the overall ranking, but the result is still a setback in the fight for third place in the overall tour standings.

After victories in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen and second place in Innsbruck, the Slovenian Prevc can probably only be stopped by the weather or a disqualification.

The tour leader goes into the last competition with a lead of the equivalent of 22 meters over Hörl. Only once in the history of the tour did a jumper give up such a big lead. In 1971/72, the Japanese Yukio Kasaya left after victories on the first three ski jumps to prepare for the Olympic Games in his home town of Sapporo.
