Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (kok) invited a dozen women entrepreneurs known from social media to a lunch meeting in Kesäranta on Tuesday, June 2.

Writer and journalist Koko Hubara has taken a strong stance on the meeting in question Instagram in the stories section.

– So excuse me now, but has there been anything cornier and, in the words of the youth, cringier than a group of white, thin, rich, out-of-touch flu women, i.e. advertising agencies, taking selfies of themselves in Kesäranta next to the right-wing prime minister? Hubara criticized.

– “Once again we got to witness the power of social media”, “Women’s entrepreneurship oihh”. Fuck you, he adds.

From the photo shared by actress Mia Ehrnrooth, it became clear that Beata Leppilampi, Sara Parikka, Anni Ihamäki, Dora Palmroos, Auri Kananen and Pernilla Böckerman were there in addition to her.

At lunch, we discussed, among other things, early childhood education, entrepreneurship, the position of women, and questions related to families with children and caregiving responsibilities.

On Instagram, Hubara criticized the contradiction between the political decisions of the prime minister’s party and the actions of influencers:

– So do these people understand that this very gentleman with his fascist crony friends has taken about everything from, for example, families with children?

Hubara also emphasizes that many families with children are currently struggling financially and that there are also problems with access to health care, for example in the treatment of menopause symptoms.

– When is the gang going to wake up and stop fanning these empty human shells? he concludes his text.

Auri Kananen, who was present at the lunch, reacted to Hubara’s exit His Instagram in the stories section.

– Hey, just call me an empty human shell in the future! I hope this Hubara has done something more meaningful in his work than ours, Kananen writes.

Hubara has responded to Kananen’s comments in his own Instagram stories. In his long new account, he questions the relevance of Kananen’s work and criticizes his way of making content about people in difficult life situations.

In addition, Hubara criticized Kana for commercializing people’s plight and benefiting from tax planning at the same time.

– Just to reiterate. The fact that you are a woman and an entrepreneur does not make you a feminist, Hubara summarizes.

Kananen responds to Hubara’s criticism by stating that he no longer seems to know what to think about her judgment. He emphasizes that he initially cleaned people’s homes for free, says that his videos bring hope to many, and denies that he benefited from tax planning. According to Kananen, his business activities bring income to Finland and significantly tax income.

A number of social media influencers participated in the lunch organized by Prime Minister Petteri Orpo. One of those invited was Dora Palmroos, who told Iltalehte that she had received an invitation to the event a few weeks earlier directly from the Prime Minister’s Office.

According to Palmroos, there was an open discussion at the event about topics important to the participants. He himself wanted to highlight the culture of daring, for example from the perspectives of starting a family, entrepreneurship and the internationalization of companies.

– The atmosphere was really open and conversational, Palmroos said.
