The transfer of former Wolfsburg Edin Dzeko to the Süper Lig is perfect: the 37-year-old striker is moving from Champions League finalist Inter Milan to Fenerbahce for free, as announced on Thursday evening, and signed a contract until 2025. For him it is eighth professional station in the sixth country.
Dzeko had also previously received an offer to extend his expiring contract at Inter, but the Turkish Cup winners offered a longer term. He is said to earn around 4.5 million euros net a year and also collect a bonus. The Saudi Al-Hilal SFC is said to have shown interest in the record Bosnian international.

Dzeko joined Inter in 2021 for €2.8m from AS Roma, where he has since contributed 31 goals and 15 assists in 101 games and won the Coppa Italia twice and the Supercoppa. Although usually not more than 90 minutes, the striker under Simone Inzaghi was always one of the most frequently used players, appearing in 33 Serie A and 13 Champions League games this season. At Fenerbahce he succeeds Enner Valencia (33), who is leaving the club as the reigning Süper Lig top scorer for Internacional Porto Alegre on a free transfer.
