In September, the two -wheel motor market closes with a total double -digit growth: +11.13% and 30,658 vehicles put on the street. The scooters that record an increase of 24.05%are unstoppable. However, in the first nine months the overall flexion is 2.42%
The two -wheeled market after the “thud” of last August is resumed. The data relating to the trend of the registrations of mopeds, scooters and motorcycles recorded in September disseminated by Confindustria Ancma show a total double -digit growth equal to +11.13% and 30,658 vehicles put on the street. The scooters continuously ascended: the undisputed protagonists of urban mobility mark an increase of +24.05% and 18,329 units sold. Equality with September 2024, the motorcycles, in a decline of 1.26% and just 140 units less than the same month last year, with 10,997 registered vehicles. “Black” crisis for mopeds: they leave 20.53 percentage points on the ground and record just 1,332 units.
The first nine months of 2025

Thanks to the positive figure that characterized the month of September, the cumulative of 2025 stands at -2.42% on the previous year with 293,137 vehicles placed on the market. The scooters who tow the market with an increase of 8.74% and 167,339 units sold. The motorcycles continue towards a gradual recovery of the volumes lost at the beginning of the year stopping at -12.84% and 115,052 vehicles lacked. The situation of mopeds are complicated: they lose about a quarter of their market, -25.89%, and just 10,746 units.
Electric and quadricycles

After three months dominated by the less sign, the electric market returns positive: growth is 5.04% with 833 units sold. It is always the scooters who push the zero emissions market with an increase of 8.52% and 484 vehicles put on the street. However, the financial statements of the annual cumulars remains negative, which stands at -14.61% and only 6,919 units. The quadricycles are still in difficulty, even in September they mark a double -digit passive with a drop of 35.22% and 1,249 units. Like the last three months, the closure of the annual cumulative is also negative with a decline of 8.96% and 13,141 vehicles sold.
