FC Bayern: New details on the supervisory board meeting

FC Bayern held its much-discussed supervisory board meeting on Tuesday evening. There for the first time: the newest member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. First details about the topics discussed at the meeting have now leaked out.

At FC Bayern there is a lot to talk about these days. To name just a few topics: the sporting decline in the second half of the season, the change of coach from Julian Nagelsmann to Thomas Tuchel and the associated communication errors, the dismissals of CEO Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and the question of a new squad planner and the future direction of the clubs in the transfer market.

But surprisingly, according to “Bild”, the permanent topic of the last few days, the separation of the management duo Kahn and Salihamidzic, was hardly talked about at the FC Bayern supervisory board meeting. The possible replacement of the sports director post or the plans on the transfer market were also not an issue. Thus, the budget for the coming season was not discussed.

The reason: The search for a new sports director is therefore not the responsibility of the supervisory board, but that of the board of directors. At the approximately three-hour meeting on Tuesday evening, the items on the agenda were therefore properly gone through, according to “Bild”.

Discussions with Tuchel about personnel planning at FC Bayern follow

Since the entire Bayern management has to find its way after the staff quake of the past few days, another meeting is to take place shortly. This time, in addition to the supervisory board, which now also includes former CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the new CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and head coach Thomas Tuchel will also take part in the talks.

Together with other board members such as Dr. According to “Bild”, Michael Diederich (finance) and Andreas Jung (marketing) should discuss the squad and budget planning for the coming season.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge should act as an expert in the group, as two years after leaving FC Bayern he still has a broad network in the football business.
