The agreement between Sky and the Warner Bros Discovery group has reached the deadline: this is how the events will be usable, to which the Olympics will be added until 2034
It is now official: Eurosport and Sky separate. The channels of the network owned by Warner Bros Discovery will no longer be visible through the Pay-TV on channels 210 and 211. The existing contract had the expiry of the agreement set for June 30 of this year and it is official that it will not be extended. From 1 July next, therefore, the channels “Eurosport 1” and “Eurosport 2” will no longer exist. An important novelty that concerns above all the great tennis, because the rights of Australian Open (Warner has the rights until 2031) and Roland Garros (until 2030) are just about Eurosport, while as regards Wimbledon, Sky has announced the renewal until 2030. The non -agreement will lead to two new channels, or “Sky Sport Legend” – dedicated to unforgettable moments and champions – and “Sky Sport Sport Mix “, with the main events of the summer. On the other hand, Eurosport risks seeing their plays collapse, considering that 75% came thanks to the agreement with Sky. It remains to be understood where Roland Garros and Australian Open can be followed in live, but also Vuelta di Spain and Giro delle Flanders, – events to which the next summer and winter Olympics will be added until 2034 – which today are accessible to Discovery+, Dazn or Timvision.
