Van de Zandschulp played an excellent first set against the number seventeen in the world, who lost no fewer than five games in a row after a fast first service game. The set therefore ultimately went very easily to Van de Zandschulp; after 45 minutes it was 6-2.

The Veenendaler is a lot more modest in the ATP rankings than Lehecka, with 82nd place. And on Monday he lost without a chance in two sets to Reilly Opelka (number 62) in the preliminary round. But two days later things went smoothly for Van de Zandschulp, who also had little to fear from the Czech in the second set.

The score was even identical to that of the first company, with two breaks (and five games) in a row for Van de Zandschulp. Only the playing time was slightly shorter. After 37 minutes in the second set he finished it with a point at the net.

Against Reilly Opelka again

Van de Zandschulp will meet Opelka in the next round. A great opportunity for a quick revenge for the 30-year-old Dutchman.
