In Canada, Pia-Lisa Schöll and Joshua Sutor wanted to qualify for the Winter Olympics. However, nothing came of it.

The German curling duo Pia-Lisa Schöll and Joshua Sutor missed qualifying for the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d”Ampezzo. Despite a no-contest win against Austria, who did not compete due to illness, it is no longer possible for the mixed team to advance in Kelowna, Canada.

In the eight-man relay A, Schöll and Sutor would have had to achieve at least second place in order to make it into the decisive playoffs. However, with a record of two wins and three defeats, the Olympic dream was shattered. At the start, Schöll and Sutor won against Latvia, but were unable to repeat this success in the following games. It suffered defeats against Turkey, South Korea and Japan.

In Italy, only the men’s selection of the German Curling Association (DCV) is represented. The team had already secured its qualification for the 2026 Olympics at the World Championships last April. The women, on the other hand, also failed.
