Due to wildfires, floods and extreme weather, holidaying at many popular destinations has become somewhat frenetic. Yet the majority of people go in the same direction during those few weeks of summer vacation. Reporter Wouter van Noort researched why we continue to celebrate holidays in this way and wonders: is there no other way?
