New chants were sung from the stands of the “José Zorrilla” during the match against Mirandes towards Ronaldo and towards Brazil in general (“The years pass, the players pass, the president will no longer be here tomorrow. The club remains, the shirt remains, the Brazilians must leave” one of the slogans), provoking the bitter reaction of the former player, who vented on social media:
“We won a very important match, we haven’t had five wins in a row for a long time and this is the moment to congratulate the players and technical staff. However, I feel a deep disgust for the chants that a small minority of the fans have uttered against a specific nationality – wrote the Brazilian on X – Chants that should have no place in football, which cause damage to society and significantly affect the players and employees of our Club. Real Valladolid will actively collaborate with LaLiga and the authorities to identify those responsible“.
“What happened saddens me, we are all part of the club, so damage is also done to the team” was the comment of the coach, the Uruguayan Paulo Pozzolano.
