The term ‘minced meat’ on vegetarian products is no longer allowed, NVWA orders changes to packaging

Producers of meat substitutes are no longer allowed to use the word ‘minced meat’ on packaging. They have received a warning from the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA). A spokesperson for the regulator confirmed this after reporting by EenVandaag. The producers refuse to change their brand name.
