SM league club HPK in January in the middle of last season and has done a year with the Hämeenlinna team Thomas Caron24, is in the starting pits.
ECHL team Allen Americans announced on Saturday that it had signed a one-year contract with the attacker.
However, HPK and Caron have not so far terminated the agreement, the club’s CEO Kaj Källarsson told Iltalehti on Saturday morning.
-We have been aware that the player might want to stay in North America. The situation has been open. During the summer, we have had discussions with his representative, but they have not progressed to the point where we would have terminated the agreement. However, our starting point is that the agreements are respected and adhered to, says Källarsson.
HPK and the player camp have tried to negotiate a solution that would appeal to all parties. At the time of the interview, such an agreement had not yet been created.
Källarsson said that the discussions on Caro’s first time have been underway for several weeks.

– Possibly one attacker will be more. We have prepared for this scenario and have been investigating the situation.
What do you think should you get some transfer compensation when the player leaves?
– It then depends on the outcome of the negotiations what kind of solution we can get. The starting point is that agreements are respected. They are done because certain things have been agreed. At least it is quite straightforward to your own right.
