The statement made by the Turkish Football Federation on the subject is as follows:
“VAR Support will be implemented in the Trendyol Super League as of the 28th week and in the Turkcell Super Cup and Ziraat Turkey Cup Finals as part of preparation for the next season. VAR is also applied in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League Final and the EURO 2020 European Football Championship during the competition.” In addition to the referee, a second VAR referee will be used. The VAR SUPPORT system will be used.
In the system where a second VAR referee will work behind the VAR referees, the final decision belongs to the VAR referee, and the ‘VAR supporter’ will only assist the VAR in finding the best angle by following the screen and confirming the criteria.
