Travis Kelce knows how to shine on the field – and when it comes to the emotional, joyful moments in life, he can’t hold back the tears either.
In a preview clip of a new interview for “NFL on Fox”, he spoke with sports commentator Erin Andrews about his marriage proposal to Taylor Swift. When Andrews after “dry throat, nervousness” and how “shaken” he was that day, he asked, he replied: “She can tell this story.” But he admitted: “The palms were definitely welding wet.”
“I’m an emotional guy,” he continued. “So there were a few tears. But it was an incredibly exciting journey until this day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

In the full interview, in which Kelce also denied rumors about an early resignation, Andrews introduced the conversation about the application with the question of how much happy Swift had made the self -proclaimed “happiest man in the world”. He said: “She brought an enthusiasm and joie de vivre who made me a better man, a better person – and that makes me feel even more comfortable in my skin.”
Andrews also recalled that Swift described her fiance in his “New Heights” podcast on August 13 as a “human exclamation mark” during her appearance. When asked which inheritance he wanted to leave, Kelce replied: “That I was a good teammate, a good person in the community. I just love what I do.”
Joy in the game and a future together
He added: “I don’t know. I’m not here for other reasons. I just love going out, playing football and giving people on Sundays what they can look forward to.” And further: “Hopefully people will see how much enthusiasm I bring into my life and can pass them on to others.”
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on August 26 on a common Instagram post after two years of relationship. The article showed a photo gallery of the couple with the caption: “Your English teacher and your sports teacher marry.”
