Morten Harket has her birthday: good wishes from all sides
A user who quotes Plato is particularly poetic: “‘Music is for the soul what gymnastics is for the body.’ In combination with your voice, it will be a healing, comfort, joy. Aya Yamada from Japan also sends emotional words: “Your music and words have always encouraged and accompanied me. I will continue to take your words further: ‘Find out who you want to be – a process that can be new every day.’ I heard from the bottom of my heart that Morten’s days are peaceful and full of strength. “
Other fans share very personal memories: “The Sun Always Shines on TV was my choreography song on my Quinceañera celebration in Mexico,” writes a woman. “‘Hunting High and Low’ accompanied my trips through the fjords of Norway when I was twelve,” erined a fan. “Later, your solo music gave me new hope during the pandemic. You are not only a great musician, but also a helpful, compassionate person,” recalls another and wishes Morton Harket all the best for his birthday.
Statement on Parkinson’s diagnosis
In June 2025, Morten Harket made it public that he was suffering from Parkinson’s. In an interview with his biographer Jan Omdahl, the singer told how he mastered his everyday life with the help of modern therapies such as deep brain stimulation (DBS). Medicines, electrical stimulation, sleep and nutrition would have to be re -balanced every day. His voice in particular is affected by the disease-at the moment he is not able to sing any wish, a new A-ha album or a tour is therefore not due. “I use what is still working,” Harket quoted the attitude of his 94-year-old father.
