The man was arrested by the investigating judge in Oudenaarde in mid-October for suspected sexual offenses against a minor. He was in jail for a while, but was now home with an ankle bracelet.
It concerns a 44-year-old man who lives in East Flanders. The teacher allegedly went way too far with an underage student during a school activity in Germany. The student subsequently took her story to management and the police.
The council chamber will later decide whether the man should appear in court.
