Taliban supported Putin’s words about the inadmissibility of insults to the prophet – RBK

The Taliban (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) supports the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin that insulting the Prophet Muhammad is a violation of freedom of religion. This was announced by the representative of the Foreign Ministry under the new government of Afghanistan, Abdul Kahar Balkhi.

“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan welcomes the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin that blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad is not an expression of freedom of creativity, but a violation of freedom of religion and the sacred feelings of Muslims,” he said.

In addition, Balkhi supported Putin’s statement on the need to unfreeze Afghanistan’s monetary assets in foreign banks.

Putin said that the example of Afghanistan “taught nothing” to Western countries

Earlier, on December 23, during a large press conference, Putin statedthat insults against the Prophet Muhammad are unacceptable and should not be considered as a manifestation of freedom. According to the head of state, such facts violate the freedom of religion of people who practice Islam. “Here in Charlie Hebdo they took, entered Paris and shot the entire editorial office. Well, why should we allow this to happen? This freedom should be inside and should result from respect for everyone who is affected by these or those actions, ”the president said.
