In 2025, the 17-year-old German tennis hope Victoria Pohle has so far only tried their luck with the juniors-and at least reached the final of the J200 tournament in Oberhaching. Now the DTB talent has successfully dared to go to the professional tour.
Nice success for Victoria Pohle: The German tennis young player reached the second round at her first professional tournament in 2025. Pohle, who currently has no world ranking points on her account, won in Monastir (W15) against 20-year-old Swede Tilde Tilde Strömquist (number 913 of the world rankings).
Against her three -year -old opponent, Pohle started extremely nervous and was quickly behind with two breaks, but then the sheet turned and Pohle struck back. Strömquist was never able to hold their service after the 3-0 lead in the first set, the DTB-Youngster, on the other hand, opened very confidently to 3: 4 and 5: 4, before she was able to use the first set ball to 6: 4 when she was chasing.
In the second round, it set many breaks again, but Pohle was able to take the serve down again to the Northern European – and thus also win sentence two. After 1:20 hours, the 17-year-old prevailed 6: 4 and 6: 3.
