The horse competitions on the street were controversial in the early 90s, but the tradition remained up. Sand on the road turned out to be the solution.
There are various races on the program. There is style and there are competitions with sulky’s. Farmers are also present.
The highlight is a competition between ex-rider Jo Planckaert and a trot. Cyclist Eli Yserbyt had to give a lump sum because of an injury.
