Low-cost carrier Ryanair says it does not expect any significant disruption to flights to and from Belgium as a result of a possible pilot strike. However, it will continue on the weekend of July 15 and 16, the unions confirmed. The pilots are protesting against the termination of a collective labor agreement that regulates working and rest times and are demanding higher wages. It is not excluded that new actions will follow. “There is no longer any social peace at Ryanair,” said trade union secretary Hans Elsen of ACV Puls.
