The fire brigade arrived en masse after reporting a roof fire. The fire started in a house and spread to the adjacent apartment block. Due to the extinguishing works and smoke damage, the material damage is considerable. “Unfortunately, the commercial building with apartments has been completely lost,” says postmaster Jeroen Bonte.
“In addition, it was not easy to work due to the weather. The fire extinguishing water constantly froze. Colleagues constantly spread salt so that we could work safely.”
