The measurements have since started.
This campaign is part of the provincial nitrogen action plan, which was approved on 8 February 2024. The aim is to gain insight into nitrogen emissions through reliable data and to stimulate innovation and targeted reduction measures in the next phase.
“As an agricultural province we take our responsibility. Measuring is knowing. Only through accurate measurements can we validate innovative techniques and guide the sector to the future -oriented nitrogen reduction,” says Deputy Bart Naeyaert, competent for agriculture.
