Patrik Laine out – Here is the Lions’ World Cup team

Jukka Jalonen has chosen his team for the World Hockey Championships.

The Lions World Cup team was announced on Sunday evening. Columbus star forward Patrick Laine is not in the team. The man is injured.

There are a total of five NHL players in the team: defenseman Olli Määttä and attackers Kaapo Kako, Mikko Rantanen, Joel Armia and Kasperi Kapanen.

The World Championships will be played in Tampere and Riga from May 12 to May 28. Finland plays in Group A of the Games together with the United States, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, France, Austria and Hungary.

The Lions’ first match is against the United States on May 12. The match starts at 16:20.

Finland goes to the games as the reigning champion.
