“We feel relief that a suspect has been arrested and that there is a prospect of justice,” the parents report. “For us as a family, the focus is now on the farewell of Lisa. We hope to be able to do that in peace and security, along with our loved ones.”
The suspect is a 22-year-old asylum seeker who was arrested last night in a reception location in the city. He was initially arrested for a sexual offense on the Weesperzijde. Today the police announced that he is also suspected of killing Lisa.
