New tortilla factory creates 60 new jobs in Roeselare

It is the company’s largest investment outside of Finland. The factory will produce tortillas for the Santa Maria and Poco Loco brands and for private brands.

Paulig wants to meet the growing tex-mex market with the new factory. The company aims to double Tex Mex production in Europe and the new factory plays a crucial role in this. “The plant also offers innovation opportunities, enabling us to develop the segment even further,” said Rolf Ladau, CEO of Paulig.

The new tortilla factory is equipped with three production lines, enabling the production of wheat and gluten-free tortillas. It is estimated that more than 60 new jobs will be created thanks to the new factory.

In addition, the Tex Mex factory and the new tortilla production factory in Roeselare are connected to the Paulig high-bay warehouse via a 10-meter bridge. This allows the company to significantly reduce road transport.

The new factory is Paulig’s eleventh.
