New CEO for Off-White – Founders of New Guards Group are leaving

Cristiano Fagnani has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of streetwear brand Off-White.

He is also responsible for the Reebok business as CEO of the clothing group New Guards Group (NGG), which owns brands such as Off-White, Palm Angels and Heron Preston, luxury retailer Farfetch, to which NGG belongs, said on Thursday. According to his profile on the LinkedIn industry network, he has been CEO of NGG and head of Reebok Europe since the beginning of the year.

Fagnani has more than 20 years of industry experience. He has been with NGG for three years and was the head of marketing. Before that, he worked for the US sports goods company Nike.

NGG founders give up offices

Previously, these positions were held by the two NGG founders, Davide De Giglio, the previous NGG CEO, and Andrea Grilli, CEO of Off-White. They have resigned from their posts. Meanwhile, Stephanie Phair, Farfetch Group President, has been appointed Chair of the New Guards Group.

“Growing NGG from an initial idea into a leader in the fashion world has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. We have been a symbol of innovation, creativity and independence, setting trends and collaborating with phenomenal talent,” said De Giglio. “We are indebted to Farfetch for recognizing our potential and supporting our ambitions. Their acquisition has not only fueled our growth, but also ensured our global presence and influence.”

The leadership of the other NGG brands remains unchanged. Stefano Robino remains active as General Manager and founder Francesco Ragazzi as Creative Director for Palm Angels.

“New Guards has performed very well since 2019 and has continued to execute on its strategy with the recent launch of Reebok,” said Farfetch CEO José Neves. “I would like to thank Davide and Andrea for their dedicated leadership over the past four years and for building a very strong team of successors that will continue to drive NGG’s strategy and operations.”

De Giglio and Grilli founded the Milan-based New Guards Group in 2015. Four years later it was acquired by Farfetch.
