More than twenty people have filed a complaint since May 2023 for possible acts of spiking. This means that drugs, medication or alcohol are secretly administered to a person, usually with the intention of assaulting, raping or robbing the victim.
Following the reports, the Vlas police zone (Kortrijk, Kuurne and Lendelede) conducted several searches in the nightlife area on October 23.
