Javier Milei does not hide his fascination with space and Argentine talents abroad. This Wednesday, from his official account on The like and the comment came hours before their scheduled meeting in Los Angeles, within the framework of the president’s tour of the United States.

Del Castro, born in Salta, is a national pride in the US space agency. He graduated in Engineering from the National University of Córdoba and completed a master’s degree at the University of Michigan. He resides in California and participates in key missions such as Artemis (return to the Moon) and Perseverance (exploration of Mars). Additionally, she has been an analog astronaut in simulations in Hawaii and Utah, preparing for future manned expeditions.

The meeting with Milei was confirmed by Casa Rosada sources. The president, a self-proclaimed defender of the “space economy,” sees professionals like Del Castro as an example of what Argentina can contribute to the world. “We want to attract investments in space technology and retain talent,” Milei reportedly said off the record, according to those close to him.

But the admiration is not from now. Milei has been following Del Castro’s account for months and has interacted with several of his posts: likes on launch photos, comments on simulation videos, and retweets about advances at NASA. In a recent one, about the rover on Mars, the president wrote “Impressive, Argentine power.” Libertarian sources assure that Milei contacted her personally via DM to coordinate the meeting.

Milei’s agenda in the US will involve his participation in the American Business Forum in Miami (November 5 and 6), a forum of world leaders at the Kaseya Center (Miami Heat stadium). There he will speak on Thursday the 6th at 5:45 p.m. (Argentine time) in interview format with Bret Baier from Fox News, for 45 minutes.

Promote investments in Argentina, with meetings with key businessmen. There will be no meeting with Trump (agendas do not match; the former president speaks early Wednesday). The Government seeks to raise capital in the “space economy” and technology, aligned with Milei’s libertarian vision.
