Ludwigsburg gets match points against Ulm

After another thriller, the MHP giants Ludwigsburg won two match balls in the playoff quarterfinals of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) against ratiopharm Ulm.

The fourth in the main round won the exciting second duel with 81:77 (69:69, 37:38) after extra time, in the first meeting the Ludwigsburg team only won after the second overtime.

On Thursday (7:00 p.m./MagentaSport) the MHP giants can end the best-of-five series in Ulm. Then things should get tight again. The highest lead in the game on Tuesday was nine points, with Ulm leading 31:22 in the second quarter.

As at the start on Saturday, the duel was completely open, Ulm’s Semaj Christon forced extra time 36 seconds before the end of regular time. In the additional five minutes, Ludwigsburg had the better end for themselves. The hosts’ best thrower was Yorman Polas Bartolo (19), who scored the final score on the free-throw line. Christon scored 23 points for Ulm.
