PSG star Idrissa Gueye boycotts rainbow jersey

Paris St. Germain played against Montpellier in special kits. The flock in rainbow colors was a sign against homophobia – but apparently that’s why PSG star Idrissa Gueye missed his game.

Paris St Germain midfielder Idrissa Gueye missed out on the last away game of the season against Montpellier. Officially, the Senegalese only sat in the stands due to illness.

But after the Parisians’ confident 4-0 win, the words of PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino at the press conference indicated another reason: “Idrissa is not injured or ill, but was sitting in the stands for private reasons.” As reported by “RMC Sport”, Gueye refused to play because he did not want to support the anti-homophobia campaign.
