Hanover’s Breitenreiter wants to “keep cool heads”

“We did not use our possibilities,” said Breitenreiter at the sports show microphone: “It is now a coach to keep cool heads. We have a great chance of climbing in third place. But it is only over when it is over.”

Sportschau, 04.04.2025 9:39 p.m.

KSC coach Christian Eichner primarily praised his defensive, but struggled with the course of the season in the second half of the season: “We generally defend it very well for the past few weeks. That was the third home game without a goal. We simply lack three or four points – and that is really bitter.”

Game between Karlsruhe and Hanover at eye level

The guests started the game well, a degree by Jannik Dehm (17th) was just barely past the right post. The KSC subsequently acted at eye level, but Bambasé Conté failed free-standing on the well-reacting Ron-Robert Zieler (34th).

After the change of sides, the hosts took the lead: Marvin Wanitzek met the latte with a brilliant spacer shot, the rebound Kobald pressed over the line. After the game, Wanitzek picked up an extra coach Eichner, who sees one of the “exceptional players in the second division” in the KSC playmaker and a “great football player and man”.

Hanover was against the defeat, still had an absolute huge chance in the final minute through Lars Gindorf, but the equalization was no longer successful. “The boys believed it until the end, but that’s football, that is part of it – there is no accusation for the boy,” said Breitenreiter.
