Goal Blommesteijn sufficient for victory Young FC Volendam

Jong FC Volendam created several opportunities before half-time. In the end, top scorer Koen Blommestijn managed to break the spell just before the break. That goal turned out to be enough to beat the Rijnsburgse Boys: 0-1.

The first opportunity was for Tayrell Wouter after a through pass from Samir Ben Sallam. Wouter shot, but goalkeeper Michael Bekkers saved. He proved to be an obstacle several times. After a long shot from Jim Beers, Bekkers was able to turn the bet. In the counterpunch, Beers almost gave the opponent a hand, but goalkeeper Dion Vlak kept his goal clean. Blommestijn scored his thirteenth goal of the season just before half-time: 0-1.

In the second half, Jay Koorndijk immediately had to thwart a dangerous attack by Rijnsburg. He made sure that the equalizer did not reach the scoreboard with a sliding slide. A few minutes later, Beers again found Bekkers on his way after a long shot. In the absolute final phase, the home team still became dangerous, but Vlak kept his goal clean.

Due to the victory over Rijnsburgse Boys, Volendam climbs to eleventh place. Next week, leader Katwijk is waiting for the team of Kiki Musampa. AFC and HFC will play against each other in Haarlem tomorrow. Kick-off is at 2:30 PM.
