1. FC Kaiserslautern will play the semi-final of the DFB Cup against Saarbrücken or Mönchengladbach on Tuesday, April 2nd. On Wednesday, April 3rd, Bayer Leverkusen will meet Fortuna Düsseldorf.
This resulted in the scheduling of the semi-final games, which were announced on Thursday (February 15, 2024).
Semi-final with Kaiserslautern live on ARD
The first semi-final with 1. FC Kaiserslautern will be broadcast live on Erste and in the stream on sportschau.de. The Palatinate’s opponent has not yet been decided after the quarter-final game between 1. FC Saarbrücken and Borussia Mönchengladbach was canceled due to an unplayable pitch and rescheduled for March 12th.
If the third division team from Saarbrücken prevails, Kaiserslautern would have to play in Ludwigspark. After the draw, the “Red Devils” would have home advantage against Mönchengladbach.
Leverkusen vs Düsseldorf live on ZDF
The second semi-final between Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen and second division team Fortuna Düsseldorf will be shown live on free TV on ZDF on Wednesday. Both semi-final games will kick off at 8:45 p.m.
Final of the DFB Cup on May 25th in Berlin
The final will take place as usual in Berlin on May 25, 2024.
Even after UEFA’s European Cup reform, which applies from the 2024/25 season, the winner of the DFB Cup has the right to start in the new European league phase League.
