Even before the official opening hours of the fair at 2 p.m., it is a hell of noise in and around the attractions on the fairground. More than 200 crazy students gather around the whirligig, the bumper cars and the Miami trip, which is nowadays consistently called ‘the bank’ in Nibbixwoud.
A lot of enthusiasm
The students were handed out six vouchers at school on Monday, which could be returned to an attraction. The initiative of the Kermiscomité, in collaboration with the fair operators, can count on great enthusiasm.
“We want the fair to be accessible to everyone,” explains Herman op den Kelder, member of the fair. “So also for people who don’t have the money to pay for this.”
In this way all children get to know the fair. That is important, thinks Op den Kelder: “Because it must continue to exist for days.”
