A truck burned out at the end of the morning. The truck stood at the Lageveen gas station on the A28, from Meppel to Hoogeveen.
The fire brigade was quickly on site, but could not prevent the entire cabin from burning out. The fire has since been extinguished.
Smoke from the fire was visible to the distant circumference. It is not known how the fire started.
Due to the fire there is a traffic jam of about two kilometers in the direction of Hoogeveen, which results in a delay of a few minutes. The gas station is closed. It is not known how long the gas station will remain closed.
