The tension between Arda Güler and Jorge Jesus marked the Fenerbahçe – Trabzonspor match in the 34th week of the Spor Toto Super League.
Arda Güler, whose nerves were tense after the double fight with his opponent in the 60th minute of the match, reacted to Jorge Jesus’s ‘calm down’ warning with hand gestures.
After this incident, Jesus called Arda Güler to his side when the match stopped and warned the young star.
“There was no special situation between us”
The Portuguese coach said in a statement on the subject after the match:
“I was warning Arda about tactical and technical issues. There was no special situation between us. There was nothing I could talk to him about tomorrow. It was a warning from a normal coach. Arda’s game was one of his best games today.”
