From tomorrow, fans of René Karst can leave a memory of the deceased folk singer in Theater De Tamboer in Hoogeveen. René Karst died last Friday at the age of 59 from cardiac arrest in his hometown of Hoogeveen.
In a message on Facebook, the singer’s management said that “for anyone who needs it, it is possible to leave a memory with/for René. These last words to René will be collected by the family at the end of December.”
The singer’s management previously announced that Karst will receive a public farewell. That is on Wednesday, November 26, also in Theater De Tamboer.
From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM everyone has the opportunity to visit Karst’s body one more time. Afterwards, the Drenthe music icon will be publicly said goodbye.
Daughter Ychelle Karst also lovingly remembered her father on Instagram. She writes that they were planning to take a trip together. “We agreed on that, right?”
“You’re gone. No hugs, no calls, no discussions about the crazy creative ideas you had… Because yes, you had them.”
