NoI’m not afraid of anything is the tenth studio album of Fabrizio Moro’s career, and the title is not a statement but an exhortation, as the Roman singer-songwriter explains. «In fact, it is an encouragement to myself, it is Fabrizio’s most courageous part. Why then actually not being afraid of anything is also wrong in my opinionaccording to my point of view on life and also on creativity. Because when you’re not afraid of anything then it happens that you feel too confident and start doing shit, it’s the outburst of Fabrizio’s courageous side that comes out when in reality you’re afraid of many things. It is that part that rebels against fear.”
I’m not afraid of anythingFabrizio Moro talks about the new album and 25 years of career
An album composed of nine songs with introspective and current lyricsin which the intimate dimension is intertwined with a collective vision, but which seems to go against the trend of the speed of the current music industry. «I’m not perfectly at ease because this is demonstrated by the fact that this album was written, produced and recorded in three years of work, so it’s quite a long time for the musical era in which we live».
Twenty-five years of career, with many successes but also highs and lows, Fabrizio considers himself lucky for what he has had. «I don’t expect anything from the future, which is not a pessimistic point of view, but I don’t like thinking about the future. I live life day by day, I like to always have a nice question mark in front of me because it’s the question mark that excites me, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. I make short-term projects, at most.”
Sanremo and the live tour in 2026
With seven participations in Sanremo, two among the young and five among the big names and with one victory in each category, he says of the Italian Song Festival: «At the moment it’s not that I’m not thinking about it, because However, every year I think about Sanremo because Sanremo is part of my culture, of my own singer-songwriter culture, that is, I grew up, I loved Sanremo, I still love it even if it has changed a lot. Today, to participate in Sanremo again, I would have to find a compromise, I know the word is bad, but to be clear, a fair and healthy compromise between what the Festival has become today and the Fabrizio Moro of today.”
In 2026 Fabrizio Moro will be on live tour again. “That will certainly be, as it is every time, the best part of the whole project. There is the phase in which you write, in which you look for the pieces, in which you record, in which you make them heard, in which doing the promotion, the live one is the best part”.
