Paramount+ has announced a new documentary entitled “Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape from now”. The film accompanies the metal legend in the fight against health setbacks and is also intended to document the upcoming, final concert by the musician.
The documentary, officially authorized by the Osbourne family, is currently in production and will be turned on until July 5. On this day, the “Back to the Beginning” concert takes place in Birmingham, which means the final farewell to the stage for both Ozzy Osbourne and for its band Black Sabbath. The film’s premiere is planned for autumn on Paramount+.
According to the official description, “Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape from now” will give a deep insight into the personal challenges of the rock star. “The past six years have been the worst times I’ve ever experienced,” said Ozzy Osbourne in a press release. “There were moments when I thought my time had expired. But making music and taking up two albums saved me. I would have gone crazy without music. “

The focus is particularly on the drastic fall from 2019, the Osbournes state of health once again deteriorated drastically, as well as its Parkinson’s diagnosis. The film shows how these setbacks forced him to face his own mortality and to think about whether he can ever stand on a stage again. In addition to Ozzy, his wife and manager Sharon Osbourne and her children Jack and Kelly will also have their say. In addition, appearances by Black-Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, Duff McKagan (Guns N ‘Roses), Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Billy Idol, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Zakk Wylde, Billy Morrison and Producer Andrew Watt. The BAFTA award winner Tania Alexander, who has been working on the project since 2022, is directed by the BAFTA award winner. The first recordings were made during the studios sessions for Osbourne’s last album “Patient Number 9”.
