They also notice that at Camping de Geritthoeve in Oisterwijk: “We are really completely full,” says Esther who works there. Normally it is already a bit busier with Ascension Day, but because of the nice weather it is now extra busy. “We have no more places, the phone keeps ringing.”

Also with colleagues at the post a little further to the south, in Bergeijk, the storm runs. There too, it is completely packed. “We are usually fully booked long in advance with the Ascension Weekend, even with the bad weather yesterday,” says Ingrid employee. “And it is actually a mishmash of everything: people from all over the country, Germans and Belgians. Because they too celebrate ascension,” says Ingrid.
Jazz and boats
And whoever says good weather, says boot sailing. Because with the sloop rental in Breda it is very busy just like at the campsites, says employee Dominique. “It is a very busy weekend, especially with the Jazz Festival that is now busy. Then it is extra pressure in the city and the reservations are coming in. We only have some places in the afternoon,” he says in his system.

Furthermore, many people who have laid the work for a day visit to Intents Festival in Oisterwijk. Yet it is not much busier than normal. “There have been just as many tickets as normal on Friday,” said a spokesperson.
