The alleged horror atmosphere behind the scenes of RTL Boulevard now also gets the cover from Story. The magazine adds a new chapter: “Bridget Maasland lives on a war with him.”
It is obvious hommeles behind the scenes of RTL Boulevard, but the program benefits from one thing during this riot: they are the dominant show section of the Netherlands and they themselves bring nothing about it. After Juice Channel and TV critic Victor Vlam, however, the renowned gossip magazine Story now also mixes in this riot.
In all turns
The Story Has spoken with eyewitnesses, Works Council members and other TV insiders and can only come to one conclusion: there is a disfigured atmosphere at RTL Boulevard. “Although RTL is becoming politically correct and wringing in all turns to be particularly socially involved, the TV channel would fail within its own sections.”
What do the sources of Story say? “Unanimously comes from the stories of current and former TV colleagues and other direct witnesses, one name of an employee of RTL Boulevard who would be the pivot in the alleged disordered working atmosphere: deputy editor-in-chief Leon de Ruyter,” said the magazine.
War with bridget
Leon is accused of cross -border behavior in the Story. “Leon was guilty of cross -border behavior on the editors of RTL Boulevard,” says a “as reliable verified source.” “He misbehaved, shouted against numerous colleagues and even worse: he belonged to them terribly.”
According to the source, Leon was a private friend in the past with Bridget Maasland, one of the stars of RTL Boulevard. “But in the meantime the two would also live on a war.”
Great escalation
Where did it go wrong? The Story Bron says: “During one of the meetings, the situation between Bridget and Leon has escalated considerably, and it also became clear to colleagues that the two striking arguments have arranged regularly and in the presence of colleagues that he no longer needs Bridget.”
“They are forced to contact because they still meet in the workplace. If they are in a meeting together, there is a tense and nasty atmosphere.”
Road at Shownieuws
Leon and Bridget already worked together at Shownieuws from 2012 to 2014, but, another source says: “Leon was sent away in 2014 due to similar misconduct. He also behaved outrageously there.”
Story has spoken with a former member of Talpa’s works council and that confirms ‘that Leon’s reported misconduct ensured that the cooperation with him was terminated’.
‘Jorien does nothing’
Initially Bridget and Leon remained friends, but that is now over. Why not intervening RTL Boulevard editor-in-chief Jorien van der Plas, the niece of Albert Verlinde? “Many colleagues actually hope that there is a big broom once because of the current Ons-Kent-On-On-Onsleiding of RTL Boulevard,” a source told Story.
“The program also seems to matter less and less. It continues. The fact that there are still enough viewers, in our opinion, is mainly because half of the Netherlands is watching TV with the board, and it doesn’t really matter what is being broadcast. But as makers you have to be proud of your program?”
Leon was asked for a response, but refers to RTL’s press service. Bridget is silent.
