A handwritten composition sketch for a piano sonata by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven from 1796 was auctioned on Saturday at the Brussels auction house Arenberg Auctions for 80,000 euros. A personally signed sheet by the Hungarian composer Franz Liszt also went under the auction hammer, for 2,000 euros. The auction house reported this on Saturday afternoon.
