Balenciaga has announced a new deputy CEO before the eagerly awaited appointment of a new creative director.

Nathalie Raynaud, previously Chief Product Officer of the house, has been appointed to the new position of the Deputy CEO with immediate effect, according to the industry magazine Women’s Wear Daily on Tuesday. In her new function, she will report directly to CEO Gianfranco Gianangeli. At the request of Fashionunited, Balenciaga mother-corporal Kering has not yet reacted.

Raynaud has been working as a Chief Prodicer in 2021 and played a key role in the successful introduction of new pocket lines, an important bright spot for the label, since accessories have proven to be a growth field in an otherwise challenging luxury environment. She succeeds Laura du Rusquec, which the company left last year to become CEO of the Scandinavian label Ganni.

Before moving to Balenciaga, Raynaud Accessoire director at the French fashion house Lanvin was what emerges from her profile on the career network. Before that, she headed the accessories area at SMCP and had been in various leading positions in the areas of product and marketing for women’s leather goods and accessories at Louis Vuitton for eight years. She started her career with Christian Dior Couture in 2006.
