Ajax endures remaining minutes in Waalwijk; second away win in four days

Ajax took the victory in Waalwijk in the remaining minutes. That match was stopped on September 30 after an unpleasant collision between Brian Brobbey and RKC goalkeeper Etienne Vaessen. When the match was stopped the score was 2-3, which has not changed.

At Ajax there were three newcomers in the new line-up. Diant Ramaj, Benjamin Tahirovic and Kristian Hlynsson played. This was at the expense of the injured Jay Gorter, Amourricho van Axel Dongen and Silvano Vos. Brobbey, Steven Bergwijn and Steven Berghuis scored for Ajax, Michiel Kramer and Yassin Oukili in September.

In the remaining ten minutes (including injury time), there were no more big chances for either team. As a result, Ajax achieved its second away win in four days (Sunday against NEC). With the victory, the Amsterdam team rises to sixth place in the rankings. Go Ahead Eagles are fifth with only one point more.

Sparta Rotterdam will be the next opponent in the Johan Cruijff Arena next Saturday evening. That match starts at 6:45 PM and can of course be followed in our live blog.

Ajax line-up: Gorter (Ramaj/84); Rensch, Sutalo, Avila, Hato; Berghuis, Vos (Tahirovic/84), Taylor; Forbs, Brobbey, Bergwijn (Van Axel Dongen/79/Hlynsson)
