Third in the tennis world ranking Daniil Medvedev ran towards the stands in the middle of the second round match at the US Open Christopher O’Connell against.

The Russian’s attention was not completely focused on the game, as he stopped several times to talk to those sitting in the stands. Two women in particular got on the tennis star’s nerves. Medvedev interrupted his serve to yell at the women.

– Can you shut your head? Are you crazy or not? Medvedev asked the women.

The crowd booed back at the tennis player. The women were not even bothered by Medvedev’s screams. One of them sent a flying kiss to the top of the tennis court.

Match referee James Keothavong asked the audience who started the whistling concert to calm down.

The Russian player beat his opponent 3–1 on the field, but it did not win the public’s favor. After shaking hands with O’Donnell, Medvedev looked towards the stands again.

– Go to hell, the Russian said.

Medvedev continues to the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournament. In the post-match interview, he didn’t say anything about the crowd’s behavior, but thanked the opponent for an even fight.
