The entry of Edwards and Giffey and Lucic’s points force Olimpia to surrender: third defeat in the last four releases
Milan loses, 87-70, at the Sap Garden of Munich, against a growing Bayern Munich in the second half, thanks to the games of Carsen Edwards (12 points) in the third quarter and the constancy of Niels Giffey (16 points), Vladimir Lucic (16 points) and Johannes Voigtmann (13). Too many balls lost (18) for the Messina team, who during the race struggled to create concrete advantages, in attack, relying on individual initiatives (Leday, 17 points) and has granted many offensive rebounds (16), in defense. Third defeat in the last four releases in Euroleague for the Olimpia, the overall twelfth. For Herbert’s men it is the third success in the last four races, the fifteenth total, after twenty -five games.

The start of the game is characterized by a lot of tension and errors (1/6 by 2 for Bayern Munich, 2/6 from 3 to Milan). The partial at 10 ‘sees the Bavarian forward of a length (17-16). The score is the son of the many offensive rebounds of the hosts (5), in addition to the great frequency with which, the latter, they are in the bezel. The EA7 revolves carefully defensively, but does not find the same flow in attack, often stopping the ball and relying on the flicker, broken play, of Leday and Brooks. Herbert is in the hands of his balancer, Vladimir Lucic (7 points at 20 ‘). Even in the second period the two teams struggle tremendously to find rhythm, there are many banal lost balls for attacks. The moment becomes more and more difficult for Milan, which continues to lose balls, fueling the offensive transition possibilities of Bayern Munich, who thanks and runs away (55-43 at 26 ‘). To further aggravate the situation, for guests, there is Edwards’ entry into the game (12 points in the third quarter). Despite some ring of Dimitrijevic, Milan cannot mend the tear.
