The gas leak has been stopped in Oostduinkerke. The Westhoek Fire Department announced this in an update around 2:45 PM. Ultimately, 69 people were briefly evacuated to the Sunparks holiday park nearby. In the meantime, they can return to their home if measurements by the fire brigade show that their house is safe. The repair works will take another 2 hours, according to the Westhoek Fire Department.
